The Telegraph put the final touches on its new website and CMS last week emphasizing its strengths in both breaking news and in-depth analysis. Live blogging is getting more focus, and now it’s made it easier for journalists to create live blogs. It’s exploring how to generate automated live blogs courtesy of new funding from Google’s Digital News Initiative. It’s also testing sports content alerts on Whatsapp and has garnered a few thousand followers.
